FAQ

Compress Image to 100KB FAQ

Why do so many forms ask for images under 100KB?

Job portals, university and exam applications, and government websites often cap uploads at 100 KB to keep their systems fast. This tool gets your photo or scanned document under that limit in one step.

Will my photo still look good at 100KB?

Usually yes. 100 KB is enough for a clear photo at a typical web or form-upload size. The tool keeps the highest quality that fits and only reduces dimensions if the original is very large.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. Compression happens entirely in your browser using the HTML canvas API — your photo is never sent to TripleW Tools or anywhere else.

Why is PNG not offered as an output format?

PNG is lossless, so its size can't be tuned with a quality setting. To hit an exact size target the tool saves as JPEG (best for photos) or WebP (often smaller at the same quality).

Need a different limit? Use the 50KB or 20KB compressor, or set any custom size.
