Most tools: everything stays in your browser
The great majority of tools on this site — image converters and compressors, text and case converters, developer utilities (JSON, hashing, encoding, regex, formatting), calculators, and design tools — process your input entirely on your own device using standard web browser features (the HTML canvas API, JavaScript, and WebAssembly). Files and text you paste or upload into these tools are never transmitted to TripleW Tools or any other server.
The exceptions, named specifically
YouTube Tag Extractor and YouTube Keyword Extractor work differently from the rest of the site: the video URL or ID you enter is sent to our own server, which looks up that video's public metadata (including its tags or keywords) and returns it to your browser. We don't store this data or use it for anything beyond returning the result to you.
HEIC to JPG/PNG Converter, Image to Text (OCR), QR Code Generator, SHA256/MD5 Hash Generator, HTML Formatter, Markdown Previewer, JSON to YAML and YAML to JSON converters, and the HTML tab of the CSS/JS/HTML Minifier load a code library from a third-party content delivery network (cdnjs or jsdelivr) when the page opens. This is a download of publicly available program code needed to run the tool in your browser — it is not a transfer of any file, text, or image you provide. Your actual input to these tools stays local, the same as every other tool. As with any website request, the content delivery network can see your IP address and browser details when it serves that code.
YouTube Embed Code Generator builds embed code entirely in your browser. Its optional preview is different: when you click "Load preview", the video is loaded from YouTube (or youtube-nocookie.com in privacy-enhanced mode), so YouTube receives the request like any embedded video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube unless you click that button.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic and which tools are useful, which sets cookies and collects standard usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser type). Google Analytics does not run on local development environments. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.
Cookies
Aside from the cookies Google Analytics sets, this site does not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and doesn't require accounts, logins, or any cookie-based session state to use any tool.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If a future tool genuinely needs to work differently from what's described here, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above to reflect it accurately.
